Despite the growing popularity of Luke Bryan, however, Carrie Underwood has shown once again that does not have a base of ultra loyal fans. That fan base keeps you on top of the list of the most successful American Idol winners too. According to Forbes, from June 2012-2013 Carrie Underwood earned $ 31 million, placing it well ahead of the second runner, Kelly Clarkson, who won $ 7 million.

A second round of fan voting will determine if Carrie Underwood is the latest winner of Billboard Milestone Award. The Billboard Music Awards will air on ABC on May 18.
